Trimzio

Privacy policy

The short version

Trimzio is built local-first. Your videos, audio, images, subtitles and projects are opened and processed entirely on your own computer, inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see them. This policy explains the little data that does exist.

Your media never leaves your computer

When you use the editor, your browser reads files directly from your disk. Editing, preview and export all run locally. No frame, no audio sample and no project file is ever transmitted to us or to anyone else by Trimzio.

What is stored in your browser

  • Editor preferences (theme, accent color, default export settings), stored locally so the editor remembers how you like it.
  • Session autosave data, stored locally so you can resume an edit after closing the tab.
  • If you enable folder autosave, your browser remembers the folder you picked. The project file itself lives on your disk.

All of this stays on your device. You can clear it at any time from the editor settings or by clearing your browser data.

What our website collects

This website runs on standard web hosting, which keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you type, and we use them only to reply to you.

What we do not do

  • We do not require accounts and do not build profiles of you.
  • We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
  • We do not, and structurally cannot, look at your footage.

If anything here is unclear, or you want data about a contact-form message removed, reach out through the contact page.
