About Trimzio
Video editing should not require handing over your files
Trimzio exists because the simplest editing tasks somehow ended up behind uploads, accounts, watermarks and subscriptions. We think your browser is already powerful enough to do the job, on your machine, with your files.
Our story
Trimzio started with a frustration almost everyone has felt: you record a quick video, you just want to trim the start and the end, and suddenly you are creating an account, uploading gigabytes to someone else's server, waiting for processing, and getting a watermarked file back.
Modern browsers can decode, render and encode video natively. So we built an editor that leans on that: your file is opened directly from your disk, every edit runs on your machine, and the export is written straight back to your disk. The server only delivers the app itself, never your content.
What began as a simple trimming tool has grown into a full everyday editor: multi-clip timelines, overlays, captions, effects, music, voiceover and noise cancellation. And it still opens in a second, without asking who you are.

Why local-first
Privacy is the default
Family videos, client work, unreleased footage: none of it should have to sit on a stranger's server just to be trimmed. In Trimzio, it never does.
Local is faster
No upload queue, no render farm wait. Your edit starts the moment the file opens and exports as fast as your own hardware allows.
No lock-in
No account, no proprietary cloud library. Projects are files on your computer that you own, move and back up like anything else.
Where Trimzio is going
Trimzio is under active development. The editor keeps growing, and the platform around it will too: better guides, templates and workflows for creators, and tools for teams who care about keeping their footage private. The one thing that will never change is the core promise: your video stays on your computer.
